Mobile Support Worker -Medication Run

MASH is an accredited provider of community based residential and rehabilitation support services. We support a range of people with differing needs to live as independently as possible in the community.

The Community Service Team provides community-based housing with support staff available depending on the level of need, throughout the Palmerston North, Horowhenua and Tararua Regions.

The Job:

This role involves traveling to meet with people on a one to one basis in the community. You will be part of a dynamic team and your main role will be to deliver and administer medication to our consumers in the Levin and Otaki areas.

The Skills:
Passion for people, flexible approach, team player, good listener, self-motivated and good initiative.
Relevant experience or qualification is desirable but not essential. Support Workers come from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences, but all have one thing in common, the desire to enable others to develop resilience and move forward with their recovery.

You will have a current First Aid Certificate or a willingness to obtain one (funded by MASH) and a full manual driver’s licence. You will be trained in the process of medication administration. 

Hours of work:
This position is a casual position howver, being available in the both the mornings and eveings (between the hours of 0800 - 1100 and 1900 and 2100 would be beneficial and there is a vehicle provided by MASH Trust to do this run.
